Meet Katie and Jack

VitaDono was founded by myself (Katie) and Jack, we're a husband-and-wife team who know firsthand the challenges that come with aging. I'm a sous Chef at a local Italian restaurant in downtown Richardson where my passion for food and nutrition has always fueled my belief in the power of wellness. Jack, with his background as a mechanical engineer, has a gift for creating practical solutions that make everyday life easier.

When our parents began to face the struggles of aging - aches, limited mobility, and the everyday obstacles that can steal comfort away - we combined our skills to find ways to help. What started as a personal mission quickly grew into something bigger and something extremely meaningful.

That led us to create VitaDono: a place where quality products meet thoughtful and practical solutions, all designed to support ageing with comfort, dignity and ease.

My mother, Margaret, is a fiercely independent woman who loves pickleball and spent her life caring for others, noteably my Dad who passed in 1992. But as she got older, simple tasks became harder, and discomfort became a daily struggle. Watching someone so full of life battle pain and mobility issues was heartbreaking.

Jack’s father, Robert, is an active man who refused to slow down—until his knees forced him to. He would joke that he felt "20 in the mind, but 80 in the legs." It wasn’t until Jack and I started researching products that could truly improve his quality of life that we realized how difficult it was to find practical, high-quality solutions for seniors.

Did you know in Latin, Vita means "life" and Dono means "giver"? And this is how Vitadono was founded.

Jack and I know firsthand that trust is everything when it comes to health and wellness. That’s why we personally select and test every product we offer, ensuring it meets our high standards for quality, effectiveness, and ease of use. We don’t just sell items — we provide solutions that make a real and lasting difference to provide a quality of life that is pleasing.
